For 25 years, The Living Room Series has embodied The Blank Theatre’s commitment to developing work by diverse voices from both established and emerging writers.
The Living Room Series offers a week-long rehearsal process for the playwright, director and actors to explore and refine the play before presenting it to an audience.
You, the audience, plays an essential part in this process. In joining us for Monday’s performance, you will help our entire production team see the play lift off the page, becoming more of itself on stage. We appreciate and value your feedback at this reading.

This is a story of memory, dreams deferred, and second chances. In Portrait of the Widow Kinski, the widow of an abstract painter, once a promising artist herself, works tirelessly to find an audience for her husband’s neglected work. Yet, an opportunity to finally secure her husband’s legacy forces the Widow Kinski to take a hard look at her past.
The performance is minimally staged, with actors carrying scripts, and is a wonderful opportunity for the playwright to get a sense of the play’s full potential.
Suggested donation of $10 can be paid in person once you get to the show, but put your name on the list now regardless. The theatre often sells out. https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe.c/10114076
