Thank you to researcher, literary critic and now author in his own right Brad Bigelow for meticulously picking up where my own research left off. Brad pieced together the puzzle that I dumped out of Edwin Faulkner’s file boxes over ten years ago, tirelessly connecting the dots to reconstruct the picture of not only Virginia’s life story but in my own matrilineal line, for which I am ever so grateful. May your dedication and insight re-ignight interest in Virginia’s contributions, both the insightful and the pithy, for they all continue the larger body of American Literature.
